I don't see the humor in the picture. Was the driver hurt or killed?
Maybe I'm missing something. To each his own.
Good
Brings new meaning to "Rides like a Cadillac"
I see the new car sticker on the back window. Pity it wasn't an EMD loco....keep it in the family, you know.
(yes, I know - GM doesn't own EMD anymore. Their loss.)
This pic reminds me a bit of when I came home with my first deer, strapped to the hood of my 69 Buick Electra
"Best of all... It's a Cadillac"
I presume the trunk popped as a result of the collision but why is the sunroof open?
Reminds me of Speed Racer's race against the Mammoth Car.

Looks like the roof is warped. At a guess, I would say that the sunroof was torqued too much for the glass to handle and it fell inside the car.
Those scratches will buff out.
Perhaps this is Caddy's new "discount delivery" service to the dealers....and it went awry.

I was thinking that this is probably not the best way to put a Cadillac hood ornament on your locomotive.
5005 1 Caddy 0
The chance of Caddy Scoring? ZERO!
So, those of you who are more familiar with these locomotives, what is there on the front of the engine that the car can be hanging from? There's a ton and a half of sedan there, looks like it should have rolled off on its side long ago.
PhotoShop perhaps?
PhotoShop perhaps?
Nope..read about it here...http://www.komonews.com/news/38718407.html
And here is a pic of the 5005...minus the caddy.

hey, Chris, thanks for the photos, what a mess. From the third to the last photo in the link you provided, it looks like maybe the caddy was on the upper level above the cab of the truck, and when the 5005 plowed into the side of the cab, the caddy dropped down? Looks like there's enough of a platform on the front of the engine to hold the car.
yegads, it says no one injured, the truck driver came out unscratched? wow.
Your welcome. I think you are right, there is glass up on top by the engineers window....looks like the stanchions dug into the bottom of that caddy, or folded over just right to hook it.
Chris
But was the train hurt?
But was the train hurt?
The train? NO.
The lead unit wound up with some bent hand rails & support stanchions, and scratched paint.

That's funny, because that's the first thing I though of...and I don't even hunt. "GE 5005 returns from its hunting trip with the prize catch on the hood for all to see."
Matt:
Now that made me chuckle.
And very proud of itself as well. Reminds me of...
