Lionel's name is more popular, and has been around for 100 years.  Atlas just hasnt been around in the O Gauge "game" as long as Lionel. Although Atlas makes really nice stuff.

   The Atlas Industrial Rail Track is very much like FasTrack, excepting the little pins that must be used with the AIR Track.  There is a Transition Track piece engineered to join FasTrack and Atlas Industrial Rail, that works very well.  I have used it with great success when joining both together on my larger layouts.  As Stacy advised Atlas Industrial Rail has not been around as long as Lionel FasTrack, however it is very well engineered and lasts a life time, just keep Track of the small pin that comes with each section of AIR Track.
