Wondering if “Thorstrains” is hosted anywhere right now in 2024?
The “.US” url doesn’t resolve and another search lists “Thorstrains.tripod.c**” takes you to what appears to be the original main page design, but going further takes you to a gambling web site.

In my opinion it is a great site, especially for beginners and for those looking for small layout ideas and track plans... which also seemed to be the consensus of those posting on the above thread.
Although I too have wondered about its' relevancy in this current day-and-age of digitally controlled trains and the current market production towards scale sized products. But not everyone has the space for a large layout, or the discretionary income for higher end scale trains. There are still plenty of the older types of trains that Thor writes about on the secondary market. So in my thinking, there's still a place for thortrains. I've also always felt the site is so useful that it be nice for Lionel to support it... That probably won't happen. But for the FasTrack layout ideas alone it still is very useful to someone buying a LionChief starter set.

I enjoyed browsing the original site years ago, and thought of it when considering adding track inside a O36 loop.
