This is just a thought that came to me yesterday while working on my layout. We all have rough track whether it be uneven or just poorly laid. I use tubular track throughout my layout and have a few spots where it dips and leans and is overall not level and a bit rough. Nothing major but just a few little spots due to an uneven table top at seams and in curves. With steam locomotives having a rigid frame and wheels, and the movement of side rods, could uneven track potential put added stress on steam locomotive drive wheels/rods?
