In 2012, North Norfolk Railway staged a rematch of the "race" between a steam passenger train and a bus, as depicted in the 1953 movie, "Titfield Thunderbolt". The premise of the movie was the attempt by local people to save passenger service on a rural English branchline  which was being rationalized in favor of bus service. The locomotive used in the film is a museum piece, so a  tank locomotive was substituted therefor. The bus used was of the same model used in the film, although I don't know if it was the original used therein. A good time appears to have been had by all.
