I have a TIU unit identified as Rev I3A. I have a short on both Fixed 1 and 2. The conventional 1 and 2 appears to have no short. I'm using a Z-4000 transformer and every time the power is applied the red short light starts blinking for both fixed 1 and 2, if connected to my tracks. If power supplied directly to the tracks there is no short. . Even if only one is connected, there is a short. Have other people had this problem and is there any way to fix it without returning it to MTH.

If you disconnect all outputs from the TIU to the track, leaving only the inputs to the TIU from the Z4000, do you still have a short circuit?
Pull the aux power supply as well and hope for the best. WE had a case here on the forum just a couple of days ago were the accessory posts on the Z-4000 were used for the aux power supply with reversed polarity.( Dead short)
Barry, GREGG,
Thanks for the advice as to a fix. I do not use auxiliary power yet for the TIU. Based on what Barry recommended I tried it and then went looking for the TIU reset on the controller. There is a lot of information buried in the DCS instruction book and Barry's DCS companion book. How can you remember it all. Again, thanks for the advice and hints how to solve the problem.
I tried it and then
What there still a short circuit?
went looking for the TIU reset on the controller.
Why are you seeking to do a rest? That has nothing to do with the symptoms that you're experiencing.
