My TIU started to smoke. Had power connected to #1. Then my helper (?) connected power to #2. The unit started to smoke - from diodes? (D501?) or Transistors? Are these the 8 that can be replaced? How is the board removed from the case? Thanking all in advance. Art

Contact GGG. He's a crackerjack repair tech.
Before replacing, I'd try to learn what could have caused it, and why breakers/fuses didn't prevent it.
This one was one of the first ones out ! Fuses - what fuses ! External ones on I & O - Input 1. Helper attached power to Input 2 with no protection? He is a good friend soooooooo . Art
I would have hoped that any current which could burn up a Rev G would cause a transformer breaker to pop. Internal TIU fuses are 20 amps, as I recall, which to me are little protection. Even with newer models, fuses or breakers should be on all inputs.
No fix for that one, it's time for the trash. Actually, we have one at the club that did the same thing. I use it as a 3-channel TIU, one day it'll totally die and it'll go to TIU heaven.
