TIU varaible voltage channel to fixed voltage channel | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Good evening, everyone.

This weekend will allow me a chance to see what happened to my #2 fixed voltage channel on my TIU. If a new internal fuse does not being the power back to the track, I will assume the channel was fried when my new Premier N&W J stopped itself and started emitting smoke from under the shell.

The adjacent variable channel is unused, and I would like to convert it to fixed voltage. I believe this has been posted before, but cannot find a search field on the forum anymore.

Can someone describe how this is accomplished?

Go to Menu/ System/ DCS set up/ high lite the var channel you want to use and hit soft-key FXD...

The fxd is like a toggle switch. It toggles between var mode and fixed mode each time it's pressed. However the remote will tell you want mode you've selected.
