I wonder if it makes a difference that on our layout we went to the trouble of connecting both outside rails of the Gargraves track,turnouts, etc together so there is an unbroken "common" all around the layout for TMCC, to which the TMCC base wire is attached?

Phil: when you were demonstrating Bull Frog Snot on a locomotive running this way in the cradle we would come back and find wheels had stopped turning ... lost it's signal?? Hooking it up to conventional avoiding TMCC it might have kept turning wheels instead of stopping half-way through the process ruining it?
