This is a clarification question. Can I conventionally run a MTH engine while in conventional mode with TMCC using the Cab 1 remote?

Yes. As long as you have a device between the transformer and the track, such as a power master or a TPC. That device will control the voltage on the track.
If you have the track voltage all the way up to maximum, as many people using TMCC do, the MTH train will run at full speed.
Thank you for the info. I have been wanting to get one of the MTH Euro loco's and just needed to confirm that I would be able to run it in conventional mode.
