Western Depot has a few Burlington Northern, didn't see any tenders.
Good Luck I picked up the SantaFe Crane car at York last October. I searched for a few months and was getting a bit nervous before I found the separate sale boom car. at Reno Rails I think I got the only one left.
I'd really try to find one as a set so you do not end up with just Crane Car and no Boom Car. I still might know where the matching GP-7 ATSF engine is though. I saw one in a Utah shop after purchasing mine online
They come along on eBay once in a while. I bought the MOW set for $350 last year NIB.
Heres the santa fe crane and boom car,I'd call to make sure its truly in stock.http://www.nicholassmithtrains...3/198/O-CRANE-CARS-/
I paid $490 for a NYC set last year and was happy to do so, it was new. Fred PS they are one of the best items Lionel has made.
I'm sure the road name has some bearing on the price. OTOH, I liked the idea of the MOW set, it can be for any road.
And then again, I had a Santa Fe TMCC crane (still brand new in its unopened shipping carton) listed in my "Part 5" collection thinning for-sale thread for weeks now! As the drill instructor from the movie An Officer and A Gentleman once said, "Where've ya been all your life???".
Too bad you missed it, 'cause I was beginning to wonder if it was listed in some type of invisible ink!!! I was shocked that it just sat there for as long as it did. Interest level was zip... zilch... nada... NOTHING... until a few days ago. So you just never know about these things.
Best of luck on your hunt. The Nicholas Smith website is usually pretty accurate -- not foolproof though. So give them a call and check it out. At this stage of the game though, you're likely not gonna find one in bargain territory if it's selling as "brand new" with warranty through Lionel.

You won't regret it. I got the MOW set a few years ago.
It's one of my few pieces of modern Lionel and I Love it.
Lionelzwl ....
Would you rather the BN crane and boom cars? I have them .... both still sealed in the outer shipping cartons.

I'm looking for the SF GP7, can someone contact me at the e-mail address listed in my profile if you know where I can find one?
Thanks,
Joe
