TMCC Diesel goes TOO SLOW

Writing in for a friend who as a EARLY TMCC diesel, The ones with the Pullmor motors. He also has Legacy in operation on his layout. The engine is set up properly in the Legacy base.

When we fire up the engine the sound, bell, crew and cab chatter all work as expected There are NO flashing lights indicating a problem. However when we run the engine is goes really slow. When the red dial is full throttle the moving bar is all the way to the left. and the shadow indication the speed slowly creeps up from what seems like 1 MPH. ANY INPUT HERE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATE

Are you using cab2? Did you check the train brake slider on left? Maybe a reset needed.

I believe you have to oil those pullmor motors. There is a screw you have to remove to give a drop or two of oil. On the steamers it is on the underside, not sure where it is on the diesels. Hope this helps.

If it runs fine conventionally I would check the momentum settings.

Follow the instructions for setting the stall setting. Also check that a “speed limit” isn’t set. Both of these can be found in the manual for the Legacy 990.
