TMCC Electrocoupler Electrical Specs

Slightly odd question: What are the electrical requirements for an electrocoupler operating in TMCC or Legacy?

Does the coupler receive AC track power or rectified DC power, at what voltage, and what resistance/impedance is the board expecting?

I'm considering operating a different device off of the coupler output, and trying to find components.

6-8 ohms is OK. Besides modern couplers, post war coil couplers work too. Pretty much all Lionel coil couplers and MTH PS1 couplers are OK. Avoid PS2/3 couplers as their impedance is too low.

Got it. Do they get track voltage or does the board step up/down and/or rectify?
