Facts: Modular layout:40x50 ft. Has:Wye entering yard which was 20 ft.long. 6 wires with molex connectors to tie modules together, Red:Tr.1, Blue: Tr.2,Green:Tr.3, White # 12 Common, Purple: accessories (14v.) Black:Tr.4(all wires # 14 except common.) At corners, middle rail we insulate the layout in quarters for the passive hookup of DCS. The TIU sits at one of the layout corners C-clamped to it and the TMCC command base was put on to the I beam about 8 ft. above the ground. The systems for the most part are compatible with one another as long as they(the bases) don't get too close to one another. On the layout the trains run almost flawlessly. The modules after the wye are insulated on all rails because we have a seperate ZW powering the yard. Phasing of all Xformer's is realized, and we have a common # 12 going from the main layout to the yard modules for TMCC signal carry, but the signal is weak in the yard. Most engines of TMCC get the ever popular flickering light & locomotive that either has to have your hand put over it, or sputters and stops in neutral. One thing I forgot to mention is that ALL modules have an earth ground under the modules- open loop back to" U "ground on receptacle face. Any and all suggestions will be considered from all you railheads,so I can keep my sanity. We also check modules for continuity, clean tracks and wheels of rolling stock.
