TMCC not working | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I discovered that programming TMCC engines differs with different engines. I now have some working, but have not had success with my Lionel Pennsy 4-4-4-4 T1 #5514, nor my K-Line 0-6-0 #505 switcher. I had used #505 with TMCC about 20 years ago on a Christmas layout, but have not found its instructions to verify its correct programming steps. I found the T1 manual on a Lionel Support page and noted it had "REPROGRAMMING" steps in addition to the normal ENG assignment steps. Both of these engines run fine in Conventional Mode with sounds, and both are quiet and unresponsive when the TMCC base unit is powered up. Does anyone have words of wisdom for these two engines?

A couple shots from the T1 Duplex user manual. If you follow those instructions exactly, you should be back in control of your TMCC locomotive.
