TMCC Railsounds Issue B&O 6945 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Recently ran one of my older Lionel TMCC engines B&O GP 30 from the Chessie freight set 6-31735. Seems there are some railsounds announcements that are missing or not functioning properly. Specifically the train brake sound no longer works (screeching wheels), but the train slows, and the aux1+5 does not trigger the emergency stop dialog. Is it possible that certain parts of the sound board would have gone bad. Running engine using legacy controller set to TMCC mode and tried setting to Cab-1 mode also but did not make a difference. I have two legacy controllers and both operate the engine the same way. A reset and a reprogram has not eliminated the issues.

Have you tried a reset, sometimes that will restore things not working right

I would remove the boards and take the chips out with a puller and reseat. Place back in and test again. G

Thanks will try and pull the chip set and see if that corrects the issue, if not will send for service.
