This should be fun. Everyone, each day, is welcome to post a fact about trains. I'll start.

 

 

The reason Norfolk Southern places their headlights above the windows on their widecabs is for safety. When a crewman is standing on the front, there is the possibility of him getting burned by the hot bulbs, so NS eliminates the fact by placing headlights where someone can't be burned.
