Bob, I don't know where you're located, but have you heard of the Virginia Train Collector shows? I believe there four or five annually, a couple in the Mechanicsville area, one in Charlottesville and one in Suffolk. They're just small local shows, but I usually manage to put a dent in my funds when I attend!
Lets see:
PS-1 Galloping Geese are getting TMCC upgrades (keeping the AWESOME sounds) so I can run them more. How are you upgrading them and keeping the sounds? I ask because I have quite the fleet of PS-1 locomotives, but have gotten a taste of TMCC. I can see just unplugging the PS-1 boards from the motors and adding the TMCC electronics for the motor control in some of my bigger roomy locomotives, but others barely have the room for the PS-1 electronics.
Well, In a galloping goose it's easy.
Look at the size of the enclosed area:
Let's see, how do you determine if you have too many engines?
- You have run out of places to put them?
- You have all the ones that you really want?
- You can't afford any more?
- Any more will cause marital problems?
- You are feeling guilty?
- All of the above?
I'm O.K., so far.

I want one of these some day. So does that mean I was correct, you have both sets of electronics in the locomotive? How do you fire the bell and whistle, and get the engine revving sounds?
but have you heard of the Virginia Train Collector shows?
I did hear about the one in Suffolk last year, but it seems like my wife was having issues that weekend also and I couldn't make it. Martin (aka mwb) was there and I wanted to meet him, but....
I know there's a number of people in the area who have O scale trains, at least from all the customers Mike Twiford used to have at "Mike's Trainland" (seems like decades ago now).
I don't have too many locomotives...My layout just isn't big enough!
