I'm looking for a source for touch up paint for MTH premier steam engines. Methods for touching up the paint are more than welcome.

Engines i'm looking to touch up are:

Premier UP 844 Northern

Premier 1999 DAP UP 4018 Big Boy

The short story of what happened is I left my 4 year old nephew and 2 year old nice alone for literally 30 seconds and they managed to pick up UP844 with the tender attached and drop I think only the tender on the UP4018's boiler. UP4018 now has 6 huge gouges in the paint   UP844 appears to be ok.

The marks I'm trying to touch up are as big as 1/4" x 1/8". IMO black sharpie tends to look a bit purple when too much is used on black paint.

I've used a sharpie on finishes that aren't glossy.  On glossy finishes, you can sometimes find touch-up paint at an auto parts store.  I've had good luck with black.  Some have a dual applicator - one is a point, the other is a small brush.  Won't be perfect, but you might be able to come close enough.  The touch up vials cost around $5-7, so it doesn't break your wallet if it doesn't work.

Yea.....that's why I use them on 'small blems' yours sound more like a complete repaint if you have many areas of paint loss that big on a single loco. Good luck either way.
