Today I received TM’s Toy Train Revue Part 4 in the mail.  Me and my family gathered around the TV tonight to watch it.   When Brian’s Vail’s layout came on (first 1st segment), my wife, daughter, and I could only could say Wow, Cool, that is Amazing!  His segment is definitely the highlight of this video!!  We were left speechless by his beautiful and impressive layout.  We really enjoyed the interview he gave about his layout.

The smallest O’Gauge Layout was very cool along with the Hallmark train ornaments segment.  We enjoyed seeing Mr. Muffins layout too with all his trains running.  There is a lot of train action on this video!   I am looking forward one day getting down to Indianapolis to see his layout.

I have many of TM’s Books and Video’s Christmas videos, but in my opinion this is the best one yet for a Christmas edition!  That might sound little bias because my layout is featured on this video too, but TM did outstanding job on this video with the music and editing.  The music they picked for my segment describes me perfectly.  When they did the filming, I did not think my interview went well, but it came out better than I thought.  I posted a video on 2014 Christmas Photo Album thread tonight that shows photo’s of setting up of my layout from Start to Finish!

I want to thank TM Books and Videos for featuring our layouts on this video.  Great Job!!

I can't wait to see it either.  I saw Ken's beautiful layout last weekend and he did a fantastic job on it.  It really got me in the Christmas spirit big time.  My kids and grandkids can thank Ken for our upgrading our gift plans as a result.

I'm also anxious to see Brian's layout on a video.  I'm told that still pictures don't do it justice and I believe that.

Hi Ken. Just got done watching the video. Your temporary Christmas layout is very impressive.  First thing I thought when I saw it is"you must not have a dog" I couldn't even think about putting something like that on my floor without bullet proof glass around it with my little angels!        Well done!

Chris

Thank you.  Isabel, our poodle, has never touched my layout.  In the 12 years we have had her, the most she has done is knocked down a tree in the village or one of people.  Never broke anything unlike me!  With the trains she will jump over them if they are running or if I have them stopped and they are in the way. For the most part she stays away from them.  I am lucky to have a great dog!

The video arrived yesterday and we got our first chance to enjoy it. Ken, you did a prenominal job with your Christmas layout and with your narration. I particularly enjoyed your remarks about your Dad and how the Milwaukee Road 261 came about. I had read this before on the Forum and was touched then by this story. It came to life again during your narration.

I sure look forward to meeting you someday. Merry Christmas to you and your family

Brian,

Thank you for your kind words.  The Milwaukee 261 is special engine for me.  I am glad Tom included my story about it in the video.  I was surprised when he put a picture of one of my first train sets, 4-6-4 Crescent Limited, that my Dad bought me when I was a child at Christmas.  I still have the set, but I don’t run it much any more.  It was that set that got me interested in the Southern Railroad; therefore, most of my engines are the Southern Railroad as seen on the video.  I would like to meet you as well one day.  May Elizabeth and you have a blessed Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Ken
