I made another stop for doughnuts this morning on the way to work, again at Simons Bakery, Cockeysville, MD. The owner was not there, but I learned some from the lady working. Mr. Simon has been in the bakery business for 56 years, and for the last 50 years he has had trains in his store window. I'll need to find out the previous locations. She ran them today briefly for me, two Lionel post-war and this classic American Flyer. They do feel the trains increase business.

If you go to the Maryland State Fair this weekend, you are not far from the bakery. Not open Mondays, though.

Colorado Hirailer: the road passing in front of the Fairgrounds is York road. It runs North and South. Cranbrook runs East and West, intersects York Road about 3/4 mile or so North of the Fairgrounds. If you are heading North from the Fairgrounds, turn right (East) onto Cranbrook to get to Simons.
