Track Cleaning has become difficult on my extensive 3 rail layout has gotten tougher as I am getting older. To that end, a friend of mine from the Binghamton model railroaders made me a box car with a floating Masonite piece which has become part of my cleaning routine. The Masonite does a good job of cleaning the black material which adheres to the track. This can be seen in the picture of the pad on the bottom of the car. I use an engine for power in between the Masonite car and a CMX track cleaning car at the end.
