Are those relatively new track cleaning cars with dual sponges, have replacement sponges available?

Hi you can actually build your own car and use scotch bright pads if I remember the name correctly they work real well they also make special tracking cleaning erasers that work perfectly from your local shop ! track cleaning erasers.

If you're talking about the Northeast Trains cars, they sometimes have replacement pads (not sponges) in stock, so you can call them and ask.
If they don't have any, ask them for a recommendation as to what you can use as a replacement. My recollection is that there are generic non-abrasive sheets on the Big A that you can buy and cut into the correct size pads.
There are several choices for links to other, related threads and sites that may jog your memory:

The pads for the NE cars are washable. I've used the same set for a while and they are still in good shape.
Thin scotchbrite pads work well as replacements also.
If you are talking about the track cleaning car that uses the 2" round foam paint rollers they are available on eBay. Just search for 2" foam paint rollers.
