All:

I'm looking for track joining clips like you see for Atlas and in HO track.  I have a removable section (access hatch) that I want to connect / disconnect rapidly and reliably.  My alternative is the GarGraves "fit-up" connectors.  My questions are:

  1. Do they exist?
  2. If so, where can I find them?

Many thanks!

I’m not aware of anyone making rail joiners for Gargraves so the question is will any of the several different types of rail joiners listed on the Atlas O website work on Gargraves Track?

If you can’t find something that will work, I can send you some of the Gargraves #910-4 Track Connector Strips.  Just reimburse me for the postage.

All,

I appreciate the advice.

Bill - I very much appreciate your offer, but I have some of those.

I ended up solving my problem this way.  The original problem was caused by the end of a switch not lining up with the boundary of a removable piece of subroadbed (sitting on an access hatch).  I solved the problem by adding a short piece of straight track to make the track and subroadbed end at the same point.  I will use GarGraves "fit-up" connectors to bridge the gap.  The problem was complicated because I had a number of other alignments that had to be perfect to make this work.  I think I nailed it.

I will eventually publish photos of the finished area in the Photo Album as a comment to my PRR Panhandle Division.

Thanks again.

George
