Today was session #4.  If you compare the photos to session #3 you will see that the mainline track has been extended.  The track was actually laid the day after the last session by a group of guys who wanted to do some more work.  In today's session we finished the spiking and we did a lot of ballast work where we leveled the track and fixed several low spots.  Today was a bit of a challenge because we had thunder storms and general rain which is unusual for Colorado.

You will see a new standard gauge C&S boxcar to the left of the turntable lead.  That was also added a week ago.  It represents an old C&S boxcar that served as a storage shed many years ago.

The next session is Saturday, July 15th at 9:30.  See you there!

Ten years ago, if one had suggested there would be rails laid on the mainline again you would have been considered at least daft. And to suggest a steam engine to run on them, and reside in the roundhouse, definitely a case for a straight jacket! Amazing work, keep it up!
