I have Lionel Legacy Cab2 powered by 2 180 watt powerhouse and connected to 2 track power controllers ,400. Track #1 runs fine, when I increase the power to track #2 it shuts down. This was working before. Any hints? I'm running both of them in conventional environment

Assuming no wiring changes maybe an nsulation breakdown between loops? Try switching track power controllers to see if problem "moves".
"...conventional environment"
What engines are you running on each track? Or is this happening on bare track?
Dave
Check for a short on track 2, i.e. screw, broken insulators, etc.

What type of wiring would cause this, the switches are on a different power source and they work fine
Thanks

What type track are you using? If tubular I might suspect a center rail fiber piece has moved out of position. If not tubular then perhaps a fine piece of wire or dark bobby pin etc stuck between center rail and outside one. Go over each piece, especially switches by eyeballing and using finger between rails.
Worst case, is separate loop into half section and see which side is shorted. Then divide that half again and test. Repeat cut in half/testing until shorted section is only piece left. Pain in *** but might be only way especially if track screwed down.
