Traction Tire for Weaver GP-38

I have a Weaver L&N # 4038 GP-38 that needs two traction tires on the rear truck. Are these still available somewhere? Will a Lionel traction tire for a similar diesel work? Also, is there anyway to get the new tire on without taking the truck side frame off? Thanks for your help on this.

I would use an MTH tire, it's thinner. I used dental picks to work it around.
