Traction Tire Help:Baby Hudson

Hey all..

 I have an older Lionel TMCC C&NW baby Hudson.   After many years of faithful service, it threw a traction tire today.

Before coming here asking for help, I did go to the Lionel parts site, and based on the parts diagram it looks to be part number 6SP-8082-056 27mm tire.   Of course, as luck would have it, it says it's "obsolete" (cue the Twilight Zone theme), and unavailable.

So, I turn to you.   Is there a good replacement?  Should I just go the route of removing the other, just found to be dried out, tire and run a bead of Gorilla Snot or RTV?   I don't pull much weight, just four of the C&NW baby Madison cars.

Thanks for any suggestions.
