Traction tires for Legacy SW8 | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi guys. I have a new Legacy SW8 and two of the traction tires already fell off. I have read on the internet that Lionel's traction tires are crap. Now I believe it. Can anyone recommend a specific traction tire? I see that a lot of guys on the forum like MTH traction tires. But what size? And also, there is a side frame on the trucks that looks like it comes off with the simple process of taking 2 screws out. Well, I took them out and the side frame didn't budge. Am I missing something? Thanks guys.

Try the residue-free Calumet Super Traction Tires if yours keep peeling off. The 2505 should fit the SW8.

Since most O scale diesels used the same basic size wheels, then the common diesel tire likely is your nearest fit.
