Traditional Lionel 6-12818 Animated Freight Station
I recently purchased a Lionel 6-12818 Animated Freight Station to be used on my animation module. This module has Lionel non-scale accessories which would not be located on my regular O scale layout.
The Lionel station is a colorful accessory that operates from a pushbutton. However I will also use a "motion detector" to start this and other operating accessories when a person approaches the module. The motion detector that I have purchased also has a "timeout" timer that can be set to "turnoff" after a set time. The minimum time setting is 1 minute. The motion detector will be wired to activate my accessory transformer which is used for accessories.
