I found the instructions for that Digital Dynamics board last night  Do you need them

No   Don't have that  You might want to send the picture to Mike Reagan  He might be able to help

I'm considering that option, I know he should at least know something about it.

Send me a piece of email and I'll send you the installation manual as a PDF.   The boards came in AC and DC flavors.  There are extra wires to support almost any sound system that was available at that time including Lionel RS, classic whistle/horn, PS-1/QSI, Ott, and Williams.

The blue, yellow, and green wires go to the AC motor. I'm sure you can figure out the program run switch. The other red wire is antenna. I have no clue about the white wires.

White wires are for one of the sound boards.  The sockets on either side of the central board are for installing secondary sound boards, different pins for different ones.  The ps-1 board, qsi horn/whistle or a daughter board for RailSounds plugged into those.  You needed to add riser pins to clear some of the lower board components.

You got it Chuck!   I also have the sound motherboard that plugs in to this one.  It seems pretty simple, I think I know which pins it uses.
