There was another one that happened like that with a cattle truck a few years ago. The truck got high-centered on the tracks and they couldn't get it moved before the train came along. Unfortunately, the trailer was loaded, so it made a real mess.

 

I think the drivers really need to get a good understanding of the obstacles on their routes or in the alternative, need to take a good look at the approach/departure of grade crossings. I've seen a couple of grade crossings in my travels that had warning signs of the condition.

Rich, just because the PHONE is smart,it DOESN'T mean that the USER is very smart.

And another. Luckily, I guess, backhoe was knocked off to other direction rather than taking out the signal bugelow also.  Still a mess.  Hope the truckers insurance was paid up!!

Definitely looks like it got high-centered. Unfortunately, when that happens with a load of that weight, the tractor won't have enough power and traction to drag it off the grade crossing.
