Replies sorted oldest to newest

1. Check the wireless drawbar connection. Be sure no pins are bent. Be sure it’s seated properly.

2. look at the wireless drawbar connection on the engine side. Visually inspect the harness that plugs into the wireless drawbar hasn’t come unplugged, or partially unplugged.

3. Be sure there’s no shorts by verifying your transformer hasn’t tripped.

4. check those simple things, and report back…..

#1 suspect on a PS3 steam engine with "wireless" drawbar is- failed to seat the drawbar connector "fully".

That drawbar carries both signal and power between tender and engine and as a "system" will not work unless it is fully making contact.

Also, check BOTH ends- there is a connector and wiring harness side at the engine that can sometimes come unplugged because the harness is too tightly bound up and ziptied. The MTH factory IMO doesn't leave enough slack when they start bundling the harness to allow freedom of movement and slack on the connectors.
