any good shops? going to be visiting in laws in July. Milepost 38 is 5 minutes from them, so I'll stop in there for sure. any others? Used to frequent Yorba Toy Trains, but I know they are long gone. Any shows?
Thanks!

Hi Dave,
Train Shack in Burbank has the best selection. Arnie's trains in Huntington Beach has some MTH and Lionel. There is a store in Costa Mesa that has a lot of older Lionel, can't remember the name. Train Stop in San Dimas has Lionel at 30% off. TTOS has a show/swap meet in Anaheim every month. If you have time, Orange Empire Train Museum has restored PCC & Trolleys along with some diesel and rolling stock. San Diego has the model railroader museum. Enjoy your stay,
Bob
Welcome to California. If you get out toward the Los Angeles area, drop by AGHR; if you're in San Diego, drop by SD3R.
No shows that I know of during that time period, but Arnie's Trains in Westminster is nearby. http://www.arniestrains.com
There are a couple of others in Orange County, but they escape me at the moment.

That's great. I've been going to Milepost since the shop was on Orangethorpe. Really nice people. I'll stop by and say hi next time.
Bob
Been going there also since they opened on Orangethorpe also. That's about as long as I have been into trains.

Thanks Bob. We went to Orange Empire last time we were out there, but that was 15 years ago! IIRC they have Ward Kimbal's Engine?

Lots of Lionel equipment, new and used. (No MTH)
Talk to John Amir; he's friendly and knows the trains.
