Where's all the pre & postwar??
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Our hobby owes a big THANK YOU to the men and women who set up module layouts at these and other shows. Manufacturers may try to dazzle the public with their latest offerings on chrome and glass shelves, but the families are drawn to the trains running on layouts. The youngsters don't really care about all the bells and whistles, whether the doors open electronically, or whether the smoke can be controlled from fifty feet away. The children are drawn to movement and color and that is what model trains provide. I doubt if such a statistic is available, but I'd be willing to bet a nickel that 75% of the non-high priced items bought at that show were influenced by what the family members saw on the module layouts. All of the children in those photos look very interested in what they are seeing on the layout(s). Bravo for us! Thanks for sharing that with us, BIGTRUCKPETE.

Thanks for all of the photos! We are going to the Oaks, PA show this upcoming weekend. Did Lionel or MTH have the new NS 8520 on display?
Thank you for sharing I really enjoyed seeing all the action. Will have to make it some year.
