The Southeastern division of the TCA is hosting train show this Sunday, August 18 in Raleigh, NC at the Kerr Scott building on the NC State Fairgrounds.  It will open to the public at 10:00 AM till about 3 PM.  The doors will open to TCA members at 9 AM.

There will be layouts in O, S, HO and N as well as a rather large garden (G gauge) and tinplate.

Children under 12 are admitted free and there is an active kids club with a trsin they can ride.

This is usually a very good meet as people are again thinking about trains and layouts.

If you have a chance to attend, please stop by and say hello.  I will be set up in the first complete row on the right.

Hope to see you there.

Happy railroading,

Don

This turned out to be a really good meeting, with a few more tables than in some of the shows in the past: don't know if its the weather or the economy picking up but it just seemed more active and alive than the last couple of times.  I picked up some good diecast trucks to convert to 'Streets and a couple of rolling stock but mainly just enjoyed talking with other local toy train enthusiasts I know.

Met a lot of people.  I was surprised how many people came up and commented about my "Nero Wolfe" completion yesterday.  Several of us went looking through the tables for another figure set with that particular heavy-set shape, but we could not find it.  Still, I had a really pleasant morning!  It was a great show!
