I just went to an on-line  list of train shows around the country.  This coming weekend there are several....that conflict with each other.  I don't think West Allis (Milwaukee), Wisconsin, is that far from the Wheaton (Chicago) monthly show.

(this depends on how far one will go for a train show, but we have regular York attenders on here, who do not live near

eastern Pa.)  Other weekends have no shows...not sure about TG weekend....do you or would you attend one then?  I

think that is a sports day (I could not care less, I am into cars and trains and a number of other things, but not sports).  If

no train show is within reach, I consider any weekend a wasted weekend,  and there are a number of those.  But if nobody else shows up but me, you can't run a show.  I would think a lot of people, including dealers, would have been happier if West Allis was on a different weekend than that established by Wheaton.  Of course, getting a facility or the right facility at the right time impacts show scheduling greatly.  Sometimes it just seems like scheduling was done in a cave and oblivious

to the big picture of what else is going on at that time, or maybe it was done around stuff going on that I am oblivious to?
