The annual train show at the South Mall in Albany NY is being held today (12/4/16) between 10 and 4. I look forward to this show and will be spending the day there. Here is a web site for the show.

People don't go to that show anymore, it's too crowded.
Unfortunately, I went again this year, and once again, it was a huge disappointment for me. As a post-war O gauge runner/collector, I was astounded by how meager and overpriced the post war offerings were. After two hours of roaming the tables, I didn't see one item of that era get sold, nor did I spy one item I would have considered a good buy. I understand it is Christmas and people might be in a buying mood, but it was ridiculous. Also, as expected, they were no O gauge displays running there.
I will say it was well attended and I bet it was a success for some of the vendors.
For sure I am going to skip this show from now on, which is kind of sad.

I saw Postwar Lionel trains there. Some fairly priced, some over priced, the same as any show. The table holders I spoke with were happy with their sales.
There were quite a few displays, but as Togatown wrote, none were "O" gauge.
Same show, different opinion and perspective which I respect. IMHO, Post war pieces in average to good condition are not worth what most vendors ask for them, and maybe it is time to admit that the PW ship has sailed. It's not going to diminish my enjoyment of the era either way.
