My wife and I are enjoying our annual winter break from the Northern cold in Gulfport, Florida. We find ourselves with a free day tomorrow, Thursday, February 26 and are looking for recommendations. We enjoy layout visits, real trains, train stores, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If my under-construction layout was here in Sunny Florida, I'd invite you over but unfortunately it is in the cold north. The only suggestion that I have for a Thursday would be a visit to Zitniks Train store in Pinellas.

Grande Concourse RR, in Shady Hills, Fla., if still there, is not far from Tampa and is a live steam operation. Might be worth a visit.
