With its new wheels, after eleven years of sitting, the 254E was chosen as the Christmas Train.

I love your string of Lionel 800 series cars. It is the same group I am trying to acquire, one by one. They really give your train an old-time Christmas look!
(My budget only permits me to get one car every 3 months.)

We haven't decided on the under-the-tree train for 2021...matter of fact, we haven't even put the tree up yet. But I will agree that the 800-series freights are great:
Pulled by my favorite prewar O-gauge Lionel loco, the 258.

Not a Christmas train, but something that I felt like doing some years ago:
The Fastrack oval (plus a couple of 40" straights) is from the HHP-8 starter set and was later replaced with an Atlas 0-72 setup.

Was working on the Mastic & Silverfish basement floor layout over the weekend.
We are currently creating and building an on-the-floor Wide Gauge/Standard Gauge in the large Basement room area. This layout is The VintageHubby's. Two track lines with 84STD curve on the floor and an upper platform section with a 42STD loop.
