A new series on HBO called "The Gilded Age" started last week. In episode 1, the niece of two well-to-do sisters who live on 5th Avenue in NYC during the 1880's leaves a small town in Pennsylvania (Doylestown) and takes a train to NYC. As the steam-powered train goes past, in a very quick glimpse, the "Strasburg Rail Road" name can be seen on the coaches.

Quoting from an on-line review: "At least there's a railway station in Doylestown now, unlike in our day," Marian's aunt, Agnes Brook (Cynthia Nixon), details upon hearing she is on the way. "But she'll need to get up early to catch the first train to Lansdale, and then she'll have to change at Bethlehem and take the Lehigh Valley railroad to Exchange Place in Jersey City, and then catch the ferry across the Hudson to Desbrosses Street."

I literally grew up with the Lansdale/Doylestown line in my backyard. It was crazy seeing this on HBO.

I noticed it said Strasburg railroad but at the “Doylestown” station the cars were correctly identified as “Philadelphia and Reading”. However, I don’t believe they were the correct color. Someone else might know better.

thank you for sharing.
