The first scene showed passengers waiting on a platform. They shoveled snow up to the tracks but left about a foot of snow on the track. Looks like a couple of passengers waited too long to seek shelter as the train came through! You can also see someone standing near the track in a later scene as the train approaches. Looks like he turns jus in time to get buried!

Cool to see the plows in action. I used to sell newspapers on Sundays near a crossing and my favorite was when it would snow, the plows would come through and even just the cars passing would cause the snow from the street to build up in front of the tracks. So when the express would come through, the snow mound would just explode
Great stuff!

Wow, such amazing footage!
It seems to me that Amtrak cancels trains when over 1" of snow is called for. It's almost funny looking at old PRR and NYC ads telling you to take the trains in snow storms rather than driving. Last March, our train from Phila to NYC was cancelled due to snow/ice, so we drove at 8 pm with no big problem.
Very cool video. It never occurred to me just how slowly a rotary plow has to move.
Kudos to the brave souls who stood out there and filmed it all...
