Magnificent layout and first class Club. Having worked in Newark in the fabric dye business during the 1960s and until the mid-1970s, I was in Patterson many times. To old and lame to attend but really enjoy the photos and comment.

However, I  don't see my favorite old Lackawanna Electrics on the layout, my daily ride from Morris Plains to Hoboken and NYC during the late 1970s which I boarded at 5:50 a.m. daily and returned whenever.

As always, the layout looks fantastic!  The NJHRs are a great bunch and hopefully someday soon I will be able to see the layout in person and meet the group.  Looks like you guys had a wonderful time and thanks so much for doing what you do to promote the hobby.  Thanks Skip for all of the pictures!

Thank you to all of the NJ Highrailers gang for hosting another outstanding Trainstock! The food was terrific and it was great to see old and new friends.

The ever evolving layout is looking better every time you see it.  There's always something new to see and it's a great inspiration for ideas for my layout.

The problem is when I see an area I want to copy for my layout, I scope out a spot to put it  and realize it would be bigger than my house!

Thanks again for a great time.

Another great Trainstock. NJ Hi-Railers are 1st class. Great train discussions and fantastic food from Vinny. I don't know how any more expansion of the layout is possible but I'm sure these good folks will find a way.

It was nice to finally meet Alex & Dina. Great to see Marty Fitzhenry back again. Nice train shirts Dotty
and thanks for pulling my number for the 50-50 raffle.

First, A BIG "Thank you!" to the NJHirailers for inviting all of us to Train Fest 5! We had a very good time. The food was excellent, as usual! Thank you Vinny and crew.

I enjoyed meeting a bunch of old friends and also meeting some new ones. The NJHR gang has been quite busy making changes to the layout. I thought I would showcase some of those changes, as well as throw in a few of the old scenes. Enjoy!

Great shots guys!

I (hope)know you all appreciate what a great thing you all got going there!  A central location for you all to meet. I can imagine how much you guys love trains , but it looks like its even more about friendships and the trains are just an excuse to get together(naaah). Nice  job again, the new scenery looks great! Thanks for sharing.

Skip, Chris, Jeff, Harry, L.I. Train and all others who have posted their hard work here,

Thanks for the pictures & videos.  Hopefully Brother Gerry, my photos will join this page in a few days after I can process & get them optimized (i.e. Photoshopped®.  BTW, I put my thanks to the N. J. HiRailers at page 6 of the Trainfest announcement that Ben made.  It's at https://ogrforum.com/d...3460010369043/page/6. (can't get the  link to work)

Last night I posted about 130 pictures onto my Facebook. Here is the link (it is set public, so everyone should be able to see it).

Here are a couple videos that I took near the end of the day. Remember, I am not a photographer or a videographer, I am just a guy with a camera.

Get 'em Chris.  Steve Tapper, Jim Mason and I have a 4 1/2 hr ride from the south and we make it every year.

Heck, Peter Condro has a 7-8 hr ride and he made it.

I have been to every one so far and as long as I am able, I will continue to attend.  The Hi-Railers are a class organization and they make every one feel like family.

And after yesterday, they have to do it all over again today for their regular Open House.

Both Dotty and I want to thank all the great people at the NJ Hi Railers for a fantastic day.  The members, the layout and the food was the best it could be.  This was Trainstock number five for us and we had a great time.  Everything ran fine and as usual the food was the best.  Thanks again for a great day.

Marty
