We are going to bring Alan to York, but he'll be working the room talking to advertisers. We aren't going to let him take time to buy anything...not even lunch! 

Great to see the Trainworld/Trainland team joining in sponsorship of this forum.  They have been consistent and loyal advertisers with the magazine for a many years and I have been a customer--various scales--dating, as I recall, way back to when I lived in Hawaii a lifetime ago.  The best recommendation I can give to any dealer, trains or otherwise, is my repeat business, so that speaks for itself.

Trainworld/Trainland are GREAT places! I got to know the late Peter Bianco when his store was at 1510 Avenue M in Brooklyn, right off the D train. I still have the MPC BLUE COMET set I bought from him.

 

His family has a much bigger store at 751 McDonald Avenue in Brooklyn and another store in Lynbrook. Take the F train from Manhattan. Entering Brooklyn, the subway becomes an "el" - "elevated." FINE views on both sides! Get off at Ditmas Avenue. Go downstairs and walk over to Trainworld.

 

I'll see them at York. I'll tell them how glad I am that they are Forum sponsors.

Thank you all for the kind posts.  My father and I always look at the forums to catch up on the latest O gauge news! It's a great pleasure to be a part of the forum.  It was especially nice to hear the story's of my grandfather.  I appreciate you guys sharing those memories.

Nice job Alan. I think these ads at the top are very nice because when you read the forum something always comes up or someone mentions an item I can go directly to my favorite dealers by a simple click.  A couple more and Thats about every place I shop. No need to go anywhere else. I also like the new dealers as it exposes me to shops I have not seen before. One stop shopping

There only two hobby shops I go to Trainland and Nassau Hobby granted it is a 60 mile drive to go to both but joys of living on the east end of Long Island, 20 miles to 3 guys in Smithtown but still think they are all great. Congrads to both stores.

My wife was born in Brooklyn and she likes to visit every once in a while.  Trainworld is one of the reasons she does not want me to tag along. But there's always mail order.
