Well, it IS California...

A very nice train meet today, great weather and folks attending. Thanks to  TTOS SP and all the folks who made it possible ,including Dukes Cafe. 

That's cool, I guess this guy was "half-masked".

When the photo was taken nobody was within 20 ft of the subject or photographer. That's called social distancing.

Almost makes me want to drive 400 miles thru the Mojave desert,

A little bit of what I ran today.

I found some treasures for me today including a 9e Williams frame and wheel set for the 9e shell that I have along with a few American Flyer S gauge projects. My wife Denyse Meyer deserves an big thank you since she is a nurse helping to keep us all inline by doing mask and temperature checks. Today we had a couple of ignorants refusing to wear a mask and Denyse told them to leave with one asking by who's authority and she answered by her and her license as a nurse. Denyse is freaking awesome!

They never cooperate with me Steve, they drive me nuts!  I have them off whenever I can.

As one with a autoimmune disease and taking a few thousand MG of immune suppressants daily I do my best to be careful

Steve, I can see why you'd be extra cautious.  It's amazing what changes a few months can bring!

Be careful that the great looking Dorfan(s) dont get sick with zinc pest! 

Dukes Cafe has a Placentia address, but I know that area from past days as Atwood.  Looks like Dukes is right across the road from the BNSF San Bernardino Subdivision main line.  So, your tailgate event looks like a winner in all aspects -- fraternizing, model trains, real trains, coffee, and maybe some food too.  And with cooperative COVID-19 best practices

There is also a car show going on in the parking lot. Next meet is planned for Aug 22

This was traditionally the Cal-Stewart weekend and am having train withdrawals.  Really miss it.

Next Saturday will be as close as we can come down here.   Hope to see a good turnout, both buyers and sellers.
