Greetings All, I have used Lioneltransformer.com in the past for a KW, and am very pleased with the service etc. I now have a ZW I would like repaired/serviced but the shipping is the issue. Can anyone recommend a NJ service ctr for rewiring a ZW? I don't care to mess with transformers.

I used to go toTonys Train Town in Cedar Grove NJ. I have been living in PA for the last 25 years so I have no recent experience. There also was a good shop in Mountain Lakes NJ

I used the Model Railroad Shop in Piscataway a few years ago. They had someone that did repairs for them.
You are probably aware of the two shops in your area, HobbyMasters and the Hobby Shop. You may want to contact them to see if they have a recommendation.

All Aboard Train Shoppe in Lincroft services and sells all sorts of postwar Lionel stuff, including ZW's.
I know people that have purchased things from them and were happy, but that's all I know about them.

Call the Train-Station in Mountain Lakes, 973-263-1979. They repair any and all Lionel, Prewar, Postwar, and Modern trains and accys.

Thanks everyone!! I called around, and although I'm changing my original thoughts, I'm going to send the ZW down to Davis at lioneltransformer.com. I called a few of the locals, one was quite high price wise, and the others were either vague on pricing, or said they sent it out to someone outside of the shop. Although I might pay a bit more when I add in shipping, I'm happy to pass my business to Davis, and I know its going to be done right the first time, and he will charge only for what I need. Thanks for everybody's recommendations.
