Trees with no bases

new to scaping and laying scenery. I got my scenic express order in, trees look good but they don’t have any bases just wire bottoms. I don’t have a way to stick them into the ground of layout, what is a good way. I was thinking of getting a foam board to stick them in but scare paint will eat through it. Any tips for a complete new noob

Drill a small hole for the wire and use some glue to keep it in place.
