There was a Tri-Rail locomotive, #821, on a UP WB freight on the Glidden Sub, just east of Flatonia TX. Under the cab window, there were four letters, as a reporting mark. What is that locomotive doing here?

That engine is probably being shipped to the new commuter operation in Florida. What I did not know and find REALLY hard to believe is the engines are rebuilt engines...engines I'm VERY familiar with. They are rebuilt (new cab is the only huge change cosmetically) MARC GP40WH-2 'Rudolphs'. Well known for their unique appearance, Gyralights, etc.
ER, a WB train through Flatonia TX is sending the engine to......California. And the engine seems to have the body of a F59PH.
On the UP site on Yahoo Groups, somebody thinks it is a new Brookville engine going to the US DOT test site.
It's off its route to go from Brookville to Pueblo unless Brookville now has a facility in Texas or west of there. Flatonia is in south central Texas.
Flatonia has a great platform at the location where the Glidden Sub crosses the Cuero Sub. 160.655 on you scanner.
