Lets make this post a one-place library for trolley car reversing electronics.

Here are scenarios for which basic circuits are needed. I am asking for the Electronic Wizards to post some build-able circuits that enable the following trolley car operations.

AC power compatible with DCS and Legacy will be from 3-rail track only (no trolley wire).

1. Smooth Reversing At Both Ends, No Time Delay & Continuous Operation

2. Smooth Reversing At Both Ends With An Adjustable Time Delay At Each End & Continuous Operation

This scenario is advanced, but useful to many.

3. Operation of Two Trolley Cars Alternating Continuously

Car from Stop C arrives at Stop E and initiates car at Stop F to proceed to Stop D. Shuffle motion repeats continuously. Circuit must control the switches.

Curious your inquiry relative to offerings from Dallee such as their 686 which seems to do what you're asking including the smooth reversing which they call "momentum."
