I have a Hiawatha SSD, Lionel 6-29199, that has a problem with flickering lights. This car was in the 2006 Vol 1 catalog. I purchased it new in the box about 5 yrs ago. Just took it out of box for first time two weeks ago. Rail Sounds, Crew talk, and lights all work perfectly as long as car is sitting still but if you just push the car by hand a few feet the lights start blinking real fast when in motion. Have searched for bad connection but haven’t found one. Any ideas? TIA

First off, clean the wheels and pickups.  Next, I'd use a contact treatment like Deoxit-D5 on the roller axles, if the trucks have axle wipers, use it there as well. The fact that it only happens in motion suggests some oxidation at contact points in the trucks/pickups.

The other thing to look at is to reseat the R2LC in it's socket, it could be poor contacts there.  While you're at it, reseat all the connectors inside.
